  1. Hi Robert, I stopped at the same spot at the entrance to the school and admired that view only a few weeks ago myself when on the subs.
Badge day Friday 😁 See you out there.
Ps – I bought your book and have a few historic gems ready to recycle for my customers πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ˜¬ Rgds, Chris

    1. Hi Chris, thank you so much for the support and kind words; glad my book’s been of use! Hope you enjoy Badge Day- never forget how much you and your family deserve that medal. Thanks again and be lucky πŸ˜‰

  2. Leo had a house next door to the school…sold in the 1980s….so he had this view – though the Post Office Tower was then about the highest building in the view.

    1. Gosh, how much do you think that house would be worth now?…

      1. We’d be living off the fat of the land…..!
It was on an unmadeup road on a huge patch of land alongside the school playing fields. There was one other house further along which still had earth floors…

  3. I lived in Butler Road, Harrow, for just over a year. It is an area with a lot going for it, and easy access into town. Nice shot, Rob.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. I know Butler Road very well Pete- once had a good school friend who lived there and have very happy childhood memories of West Harrow rec.

I myself grew up on Northolt Road; in a block of flats which overlooked the now long lost gas tower which had directions to RAF Northolt painted on it so pilots wouldn’t get it confused with Heathrow! (the site’s now occupied by a branch of Waitrose). I also went to Whitmore (formerly Lascelles) secondary school, not too far from Butler Road.

      1. Nice coincidence, Rob. I was just there in a rental flat, between wives! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  4. The view is amazing 😍 Isn’t it?
