Lord Mayor of London (image: Wikipedia)
When I was young, my mum worked in the city, in the office of a Jute importer. Her office windows looked out over the route, and staff were allowed to take their children in on the day, to watch the parade. I looked forward to it every year, as it was a great uninterrupted view. When I was thirteen, I also watched Churchill’s funeral from the same spot, before mum changed jobs.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete. Witnessing Churchill’s funeral must be an incredible memory to have.
